Franciscans InternationalPre-UPR sessional meeting to lobby diplomatic delegations to the UN
In the lead-up to the Universal Periodic Review of Indonesia, India, the Philippines, Brazil and the UK this year, FI and other NGOs will participate in pre-sessional meetings with UN diplomatic delegations to discuss their in-country human rights concerns. The NGOs will encourage the diplomats to include their recommendations during their UPR deliberations which will be put to the government concerned. The meetings, organised by UPR-Info, will take place from 29 March to 4 April 2012.
