Als die Debatten des Menschenrechtsrates in den nahegelegenen Geb\u00e4uden der Vereinten Nationen zu Ende gingen, begaben sich Franziskaner und enge Partner mit unterschiedlichem Hintergrund am Sommerabend zum B\u00fcro von Franciscans International. Es war in der Tat Zeit, innezuhalten, sich zu vereinen und unsere gemeinsame Pr\u00e4senz und Arbeit zu feiern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Das Engagement von Franziskanern an der Basis und einigen ihrer engsten Verb\u00fcndeten steht im Mittelpunkt der Feier. Sie kamen aus Mexiko, El Salvador, Panama, Sri Lanka und Indonesien, um sich bei der UNO einzubringen und die Anliegen von Migranten, Vertriebenen und anderen Menschen, die unter Menschenrechtsverletzungen leiden, vorzubringen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die Mitarbeiter von FI, die Leiter des OFM-B\u00fcros f\u00fcr Gerechtigkeit, Frieden und Bewahrung der Sch\u00f6pfung, die aus Rom angereist waren, und franziskanische Gruppen aus der Schweiz und Frankreich schlossen sich ihnen im Geiste der Br\u00fcderlichkeit an. Ein Abend, um Brot zu brechen, Geschichten auszutauschen und sich inspirieren zu lassen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alejandra Conde von der franziskanischen Migrantenunterkunft La72 in Mexiko fasst es so zusammen: „Es war eine Erfahrung, bei der ich mich als Teil einer Familie f\u00fchlte. Der Empfang, die Vertrautheit und der Austausch zwischen den franziskanischen Schwestern und Br\u00fcdern haben mich geistig erf\u00fcllt und die Arbeit, die wir mit dem Franziskanischen Netzwerk f\u00fcr Migranten leisten, gest\u00e4rkt. Denn es verst\u00e4rkt das Gef\u00fchl, dass wir nicht allein sind“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
