In den Departements Sacatepequez, Santa Rosa, El Progreso und Jutiapa hat der Bergbau eine ganze Reihe von Problemen verursacht, die von der Verunreinigung des Wassers durch Arsen und andere Schadstoffe bis hin zu wachsenden Spannungen innerhalb der Gemeinden reichen. Diejenigen, die sich gegen die Sch\u00e4den wehren, stehen dem Widerstand der Beh\u00f6rden, der wirtschaftlich m\u00e4chtigen Unternehmen und anderer Gemeindemitglieder gegen\u00fcber, die f\u00fcr ihren Lebensunterhalt auf die Minen angewiesen sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Im Rahmen der Mission nahm die FI-Delegation an einem Workshop f\u00fcr &#8222;Guardians of the Common Home&#8220; teil, einer franziskanischen Initiative zur Schaffung eines Netzwerks f\u00fcr diejenigen, die sich f\u00fcr das neu anerkannte Menschenrecht auf eine gesunde Umwelt interessieren. Angriffe auf Menschenrechtsverteidiger und Umweltaktivisten und deren Kriminalisierung sind zur Routine geworden. Die Kooptation der Justiz durch Sonderinteressen hat die innerstaatlichen M\u00f6glichkeiten der Rechenschaftspflicht geschw\u00e4cht. Indigene Gemeinschaften sind von diesen Entwicklungen unverh\u00e4ltnism\u00e4\u00dfig stark betroffen. Ihnen wird routinem\u00e4\u00dfig das Recht <a href=\"https:\/\/franciscansinternational.org\/de\/weltwassertag-es-ist-unsere-pflicht-fuer-das-leben-zu-kaempfen\/\">verweigert<\/a>, ihre freie, vorherige und informierte Zustimmung zur Entwicklung gro\u00dfer industrieller und landwirtschaftlicher Projekte auf ihrem Land zu geben oder zu verweigern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir nutzten den L\u00e4nderbesuch auch, um uns mit <a href=\"https:\/\/franciscansinternational.org\/de\/franziskaner-an-vorderster-front-fuer-die-menschenrechte-brenda-peralta-jpic\/\">den guatemaltekischen Mitgliedern<\/a> des <a href=\"https:\/\/redfranciscana.org\/en\/\">Franziskanischen Netzwerks f\u00fcr Migration<\/a> (FNM) zu treffen. Obwohl die meisten Migranten das Land auf ihrem Weg nach Norden nur durchqueren, haben viele von ihnen vor kurzem die t\u00f6dliche Darian Gap \u00fcberquert &#8211; von einem Migranten als &#8222;H\u00f6lle auf Erden&#8220; beschrieben. Franziskaner, die in den Unterk\u00fcnften der FNM Unterst\u00fctzung anbieten, dokumentieren die traumatischen Erfahrungen der Migranten, darunter Geschichten von Missbrauch, Ausbeutung und Erpressung. Obwohl im Juni 2023 eine neue Regierung gew\u00e4hlt wurde, sind die Reformversprechen an der Basis noch nicht umgesetzt worden. Die w\u00e4hrend dieser Mission gesammelten Informationen werden dazu dienen, unsere Lobbyarbeit weiter zu st\u00e4rken. In der Zwischenzeit wird FI auch weiterhin die Kapazit\u00e4ten der Franziskaner, ihrer zivilgesellschaftlichen Partner und der indigenen Gemeinschaften aufbauen und st\u00e4rken, um Menschenrechtsverletzungen zu dokumentieren und diese sowohl auf nationaler als auch auf internationaler Ebene anzusprechen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-small-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Dies ist eine automatische \u00dcbersetzung.
