Thirty years ago, the Conference of the Franciscan Family (CFF), which brings together the Ministers General of the different Franciscan branches, established a voice at the United Nations to advocate for peace, environmental justice, and against extreme poverty. To mark this occasion, we will be an organizing a celebratory event in Rome to discuss the presence of the Franciscan Family at the United Nations.
Themed Memory and Prophecy, this afternoon will feature a number of prominent speakers including Brother Michael Perry (Minister General of the Order of Friars Minor), Monseigneur Fridolin Ambongo (Archbishop of Kinshasa) and Sister Diana Muñoz (Director of Mexico’s Betania Santa Martha migrant shelter).
